A circle formed of rosewood runes;
My outstretched arms grasping through the cobwebs
For salvation;
And the color of rust
Bleeding into all that I see.

My fever breaks suddenly,
Glimpsing this tainted love--
My trembling hands write only spirals,
Grace lost with the truth and trust.

In a way,
The reverence guides my every movement.
The moon and stars alike receive my frail whimpers.

And wander through the forest,
The earth below the only thing I feel.

You bleed life,

And shake the worlds
That captured you.
You take a sliver
Of the heartwood.

I am snared,
Staring out at the sunset,
Losing my faith, and truth, and will.
