Apathy, the Apex
04:35
|
|||
Apathy, the apex-
Or can't I see past my own eyes?
I find myself stricken mute,
My fingers paralyzed.
I find comfort in finality.

"Falling apart, or falling together?"
Worries of a grateful mind.
Shifting, changing like the weather-
Cloudburst barrage from crystal sky.
"Lost to fate, or fate to be lost?"
Conjectures of a grasping mind.
This conclusion for which I've searched
Must be reached, for all its woe and hurt-
A lesson in finality.
When I learn what I once knew,
Will she step out of my past?
When I find what I lost before you,
Will I know my path?
Lovely- lively...
Indecisively, I have let you go.
Conclusions and reclamation.

And the Clouds Grew Dark
02:34
|
|||
I breathe fear before the storm.
It's thunderous wrath petrifies me,
And the chaos baffles.
In Eden, so tranquil-
Yet perturbed in the finest hour,
And left me so desolate:
All my kingdom left to waste.
And for the sake of it all:
Sacrament for springs of wealth
To overflow and wash out-
To clear way for new roots.
And, in the midst of puzzlement,
I strike out,
With hopes of better days and swifter clouds-
But so far from my sanity.
What once was lost,
And in aeons reclaimed,
Yet once more spirited away.

Embark
07:57
|
|||
Darkness consumes me.
The sun is rising,
The night is failing,
And the moon is waning.
Shed this cold skin-
Embark once again.
Light must pierce through me-
The one deciding
Sees dark invading,
And a gloom pervading.
I must break free;
Shed this cold skin-
Embark once again,
With grace.
Stark bliss enduring
The one inside me-
The light abating
Will soon be changing.
I must break free;
Shed this cold skin-
Embark once again.

Scribbling with cigarettes on parchment pressed from skin;
Counting time that ticks away, before it stops again;
A rabid, malign sickness thus invades my body;
Empathy and forgiveness, my closest kin:
Save me.
And so I awake, trepidatiously,
To a facet of my reality
So daunting I break.
I reiterate: my integrity
Yet holds fast enough
To withstand a sea
Of my pleas for grace.
Shed this cold skin;
Embark once again.
Do I assuage my sickness,
Or is wisdom my placebo?
And if the latter is such,
How will I ever know?
No, I know I know-
I know I grow.

Extremities
04:41
|
|||
The anchor in the clouds
That keeps his lights and shadows still;
The parting and return
Of the hemispheres of his mind:
Extremities all the same.
He grasps ever forward,
But reaches only the shadowy veil
Cast over his dreams.
His blood is hers,
Or so he believes-
But he cannot see that now.
He cannot see...
